This policy explains what personal information Rewire · Relate · Restore ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use rewirerelaterestore.com or work with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.
1. Who we are
Rewire · Relate · Restore is a therapeutic practice run by Joubert and Clair Beukes, offering BWRT®, IMAGO couples work, Enneagram coaching and counselling online and from Weston-super-Mare. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website and our services.

2. What personal information we collect
We only collect information that we need in order to deliver our services or run our website. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Identity and contact information: your name, email address and telephone number.
- Enquiry and booking information: the message you send us, the service you are interested in (BWRT, couples work, Enneagram coaching or counselling), and your preferred dates.
- Health and therapeutic information: what you choose to share with us about the reasons you are seeking support, your wellbeing, and your history, along with the confidential notes we keep for the continuity of your work with us. This is sensitive information and we treat it as described in section 3 below.
- Payment information: we use a third-party payment processor, we never see or store your full card details.
- Website usage information: if you accept analytics cookies, anonymised information about pages visited, traffic source and device type. See our Cookie policy.
- Marketing preferences: whether you have opted in to hear from us, and how.
3. Confidential and special category information
Information about your health, mental and emotional wellbeing is "special category" personal data under UK GDPR and is given extra protection. When you work with us therapeutically, the notes we keep and the things you share in session are confidential. We process this information on the basis of your explicit consent and because it is necessary for the provision of health and therapeutic services.
We keep therapeutic notes brief, store them securely, and do not share them with anyone else except where we are required to by law, or where there is a serious risk to your safety or the safety of others. If a situation like that ever arose, we would aim to discuss it with you first wherever it is safe and appropriate to do so.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss whether our work is a fit for you (legal basis: legitimate interest).
- To deliver our therapy, couples and coaching services once you become a client (legal basis: contract; and, for health information, explicit consent).
- To process and administer payments (legal basis: contract).
- To send you essential service messages, appointment confirmations, reminders and important updates about your sessions (legal basis: contract).
- To send you marketing communications if you have opted in (legal basis: consent).
- To improve our website using anonymised analytics (legal basis: consent, via the cookie banner).
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations, for example tax records or responding to lawful requests (legal basis: legal obligation).
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary to deliver our services, meet a legal obligation, or with your consent. Our recipients include:
- Scheduling and payments: Kajabi (which uses Stripe for card payments under the hood), used to book calls and sessions and to take payment. We never see or store your full card details.
- Website analytics: Google Analytics 4, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Our website hosting and email providers: who store our website and the emails you send us on our behalf.
- Professional advisors: such as our accountant, where this is necessary for regulatory compliance.
- Authorities: if required by law, court order, or to protect someone's safety or our legal rights.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers (including Google and Kajabi) operate internationally and may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy regulation, to ensure your information is protected to UK standards.
7. How long we keep your information
- Enquiry information: up to 12 months from your last contact, then deleted unless you become a client.
- Client records (including therapeutic notes): kept confidentially for a reasonable period after our work together ends, in line with professional guidance, and then securely deleted.
- Financial records: 7 years from the end of the relevant tax year, as required by HMRC.
- Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe; we keep a record of your unsubscribe so we can honour it.
- Website analytics: see our Cookie policy for retention by cookie.
8. How we keep your information secure
We take the security of your information seriously. Our practices include secure, access-controlled storage, strong passwords and multi-factor authentication on accounts that hold personal information, keeping therapeutic notes to a minimum, and secure deletion when information is no longer needed.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, however we apply sensible safeguards and review them regularly.
9. Direct marketing
We only send marketing communications to people who have opted in to receive them. You can opt out at any time:
- Email: click the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email from us.
- By email: hello@rewirerelaterestore.com with the subject line "Unsubscribe".
Opting out of marketing won't stop us sending you essential service messages such as appointment confirmations.
10. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Erase your information, where there is no compelling reason for us to keep it.
- Restrict our processing of your information in certain circumstances.
- Portability receive your information in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent (this won't affect any processing already carried out).
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (see below).

11. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, only with your consent for anything beyond essentials. Our Cookie policy explains this in detail.
12. Children
Our services and this website are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect new services, new providers, or changes in the law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change. Where changes are material, we will let you know directly (for example, by email if you are a current client).
